Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level librarian to support faculty, students, and staff with reference and instructional services. Under the supervision of a library manager, you will develop and implement library training activities, LibGuides, and online tutorials, and help craft database search strategies for research teams.

You will respond to LibAnswers requests, assist with literature searches in major databases, and work to raise awareness of library resources through

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years library reference experience.
• Ability to develop and deliver information literacy training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach library training activities for medical/graduate education.
• Provide reference services via LibAnswers and literature searches.
• Promote library resources by outreach to departments and faculty, staff, and students.
• Maintain LibGuides webpages and online tutorials.
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
