Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) invites applications for an entry‑level librarian position in MCW Libraries. Under supervision, you will provide reference and instruction to faculty, students, and staff, and develop library training materials, LibGuides, and online tutorials.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA‑accredited program or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant library experience or equivalent.
• Experience with health sciences information resources and databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement library training activities, classes, LibGuides pages and online tutorials.
• Provide effective reference service and respond to LibAnswers requests.
• Develop and document database search strategies in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, etc.
• Raise awareness of library resources through department outreach and learner-focused sessions.
