Job summary

IDEXX in Dallas, TX is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join a fast-paced veterinary diagnostics lab. You will operate automated analyzers, microscopes and related equipment to support veterinarians in diagnosing animal illnesses.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to SOPs, with opportunities for skill expansion across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, serology, and urinalysis. On-site lab work applies to our high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in MLS/CLS/MT/MLT or related field.
• ASCP/ASCP-BOC/AMT/AAB or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in reference/hospital/veterinary diagnostic lab or high-volume clinical testing.
• Experience in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology/Serology, Urinalysis or Cytology; cross-trained preferred.
• Experience setting up, running, reading tests and calibrating analyzers; knowledge of Sysmex, Cellavision, Beckman, Immulite, Novus, Hamilton.

Responsibilities

• Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other tools to perform analyses diagnosing animal illnesses.
• Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or biopsy samples daily.
• Set up and run lab tests, read and release results per SOPs.
• Specialize in an assigned department and collaborate with the team.
