Job summary

Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform routine blood tests, quality control, phlebotomy, and instrument maintenance in a central lab. You will prepare specimens for analysis and ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Requires an A.A./A.S.

degree, an appropriate state license, and at least four years of healthcare experience. National certification and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting.
• A.A. or A.S. degree is required.
• Appropriate state license required. National lab certification preferred. BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing with quality control
• Prepare specimens for microscope examination
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including centrifuges and incubators
• Complete proper documentation and training checklists on schedule
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and privacy requirements
