Job summary

Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to perform manual and automated blood tests, quality control, and phlebotomy in a central lab. The position requires an MLT license, CEUs, and at least four years in healthcare.

You will operate centrifuges and incubators, maintain equipment, and ensure documentation and safety oversight. Overtime may be required with notice.

Qualifications

• A.A. or A.S. degree required.
• National lab certification preferred.
• Minimum of four years in healthcare, clinical setting preferred.
• MLT license and CEUs required.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated routine blood tests.
• Conduct quality control procedures before patient testing.
• Document test reports, QC logs, equipment records and training checklists on schedule.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and place orders as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
