Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Denton is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform tests across toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology, delivering accurate results to support patient diagnoses and treatment plans, and contributing to high quality care.

You will run standards and controls, calibrate equipment, monitor quality, and document results. Certification within 6 months, an associate degree, and at least one year of hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• MLT certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Associate Degree required.
• At least one year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and monitoring quality control measures and protocols.
