Medical City Weatherford, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine and complex tests across chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology. You will ensure accuracy and quality by following standards, calibrating equipment, and participating in quality control procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an MLT certification or will obtain within 6 months, an Associate Degree, and has at least one year of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• MLT certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Associate Degree required.
• At least one year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology.
• Produce accurate results and maintain quality controls across sections.
• Maintain calibration and equipment performance per approved procedures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Medical Lab Technician conducts routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology for use in patient diagnosis and treatment of disease. Come join our team of dedicated professionals that is committed to delivering the best patient care.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• You will produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.
• You will maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and monitoring quality control measures and protocols.

What qualifications you will need:

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (ASCP or AMT) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree
• At least one year hospital experience is preferred
