Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician in St. Louis, MO. The role involves performing a full range of laboratory testing, reporting findings to physicians, and adhering to CLIA standards.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in biology or chemistry, have completed a CLS program or gained equivalent experience, and possess certification (ASCP/AMT preferred). The position offers a collaborative lab environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biological science or chemistry preferred.
• Completion of qualified medical laboratory science program or three years of acceptable clinical laboratory experience required.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• 2–4 years of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and report appropriate laboratory results in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and automated chemistry.
• Perform, interpret, and record quality control data in all departments.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation as prescribed in procedures.
• Call critical results.
• Perform inventory and maintain department supplies.
