Qualifications :

MLT with a 2-year associate degree is acceptable. The candidate will perform Roche HA1c and RPRAIX1000 instrumentation, with emphasis on experience over education. At least 1-2 years of relevant experience is required. Graduates with MT/MLS are a plus.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Determine specimen acceptability based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex testing procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and troubleshooting.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely results to ensure quality patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Maintain supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and use PPE.

Requirements :

Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local CLIA & State regulations. A BS degree is also acceptable. 2-4 years of clinical laboratory experience is required.

Ability to work independently and in a team. Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus. Must have strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills. Must pass a color vision test. Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed.
