Responsibilities

1. Perform lab tests according to local and state requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
2. Provide excellent patient care within established turnaround times.
3. Maintain and assist in upkeep of major automated equipment.
4. Participate in proficiency testing and ongoing education or training opportunities.
5. Complete all work and escalate issues as necessary.
6. Adhere to all regulatory requirements.
7. Perform other duties as required.
8. Consider MLS qualified candidates for similar positions.

Qualifications

1. Associate's degree in Medical Lab Technology or related field as defined by CLIA.
2. OR High school diploma/GED with military training as a Medical Lab Specialist.
3. Preferred: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP.
4. Appropriate training in clinical lab science.
5. Position may be filled as MLS Med Lab Scientist for qualified applicants.

Pay Range

$21.80 - $31.62 per hour
