Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for Medical Lab Technician that will provide support for our client's healthcare systems in Goldsboro, NC. This is a contract assignmentwith a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Description:

Job Title: Medical Lab Technician

Location: Goldsboro, NC

Schedule: 40 hours/Week

Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Pay Range for Traveler: $2,000.00- $2,0860.00 Weekly DOE

Pay Range for Local: $30- $38 hourly on W2

Job Summary / Responsibilities:

• Instruct patients on test preparation, including fasting requirements
• Answer patient questions related to laboratory tests
• Perform routine and standardized laboratory tests using approved techniques and equipment
• Prepare, label, store, and resolve issues with specimens
• Prepare reagents, standards, and control materials
• Monitor reagent levels and assist with inventory and supply maintenance
• Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Record and maintain accurate test results and documentation
• Report abnormal or critical test results to the supervisor or ordering physician
• Assist with training new employees, Clinical Laboratory Science students, and Pathology residents
• Support daily laboratory operations and participate in special projects as needed

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 1 years of Medical Laboratory Technician experience

Certifications

• BLS
• NASCP or MLT (AMT) board certification (for Associate’s degree holders)
