Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Laboratory professional to perform routine and complex analyses on clinical specimens under supervision. The role requires maintaining instruments, ensuring quality control, and participating in ongoing tech updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associates degree in ASCP eligible program or equivalent.
• Meet ongoing education requirements for certification.
• Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or equivalent required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex laboratory analyses on clinical specimens under supervision.
• Operates, calibrates, checks and maintains instrumentation; ensures quality control and analytic accuracy.
• Mentors MT/MLT, phlebotomy, and lab processor students and new employees in testing, following AHN policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
