About the job Medical Laboratory Specialist (LAB)

The Medical Laboratory Specialist will be involved in the daily labs activity within all the Sub-Unit, but they will also be called to contribute to the general Labs guard shift, providing specialized medical laboratory services and conducting research activities. They can also attend periodic meetings with the other clinical professional such as specialists in infectious disease, hematologists and other to evaluate which care to provide to different patients.

Education and Experience profile:

• A Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Technology or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
• A Masters degree in either Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, Pathology, Microbiology, Parasitology or Virology from a recognized University /Institution.
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration) at the Ugandan Allied Health Professionals Council.
• Demonstrated professional experience of at least three (3) years in the Ugandan Healthcare System.
