The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine laboratory tests and procedures that aid in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of disease, operating under the supervision of a licensed laboratory technologist or a senior lab manager. This role involves preparing and analyzing patient samples, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining accurate records of test results. The Medical Laboratory Technician follows established protocols to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results. This role is vital in supporting clinical decision-making by producing high-quality data for patient care.

Education and Experience profile:

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration) to the Ugandan Allied Health Professionals Council
• At leastthree (3) years of working experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Tracked professionalexperience in the Ugandan healthcare setting
