Qualifications

• Associate degree in MLS or related field as required; student training accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree in MLS or related field as required; student training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens following established protocols and proper patient identification.
• Verify specimen acceptability and document QC results; report critical values per policy.
• Enter and verify test results in the LIS; maintain accurate records.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical equipment; troubleshoot issues.
• Adhere to QC policies to ensure accuracy of results; participate in proficiency testing.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and annual competency requirements.
• Provide technical education and training to other technicians when needed.
• Perform specimen collection via phlebotomy at hospital locations as required.
• Collaborate with coworkers and departments to ensure quality patient care.
