Job summary

Jefferson Health in Turnersville, NJ is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist (MLT/MLS) to perform and monitor clinical lab analyses and ensure accurate results that support diagnoses and treatment.

The role requires following protocols, maintaining quality control, operating LIS and analytical equipment, and collaborating with the lab team and other departments to deliver reliable patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in related science field; MLT preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related science; MLS preferred.
• Experience in clinical lab setting or student training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens following established protocols for proper patient identification and labelling.
• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture as needed at hospital locations.
• Operate analytical equipment for medical laboratory tests; monitor and calibrate devices.
• Document QA/QC results and enter data into the LIS per policy.
• Communicate specimen requirements and critical values to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of all equipment checks and maintenance actions.
