Job summary

Jefferson Health's Einstein Philadelphia campus is seeking a Generalist Medical Lab Technician/Scientist for per diem day coverage. The MLT/MLS will perform and monitor a variety of clinical laboratory analyses to deliver accurate test results that inform diagnoses and treatment plans.

The role requires processing specimens, phlebotomy when needed, operating LIS software, maintaining QC records, and adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related science field (MLT) or completion of Military Medical Laboratory Specialist Training.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (MLS) or equivalent military training per hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens following established protocols and ensure proper patient identification.
• Operate analytical equipment and monitor QC/QA procedures.
• Enter data into LIS and maintain accurate records of test results and maintenance actions.
• Interact with staff and contribute to education and training as needed.
