Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for CLIA-based testing. This per diem, onsite role at 2014 Washington Street requires a BS in Medical Technology or Laboratory Sciences and preferred ASCP-BOC certification. You will perform waived and non-waived testing and ensure accurate results with proper records under supervision.

Responsibilities include QC, training, inventory management, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Sciences required.
• ASCP certification preferred (BOC).
• Experience with CLIA-waived and non-waived testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, and result reporting.
• Maintain records demonstrating proficiency testing alignment with patient samples.
• Adhere to quality control policies and maintenance schedules.
• Apply corrective actions as needed and notify supervisors of issues.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and communicate with leadership.
• Document corrective actions for deviations from specs.
