Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology
• 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred
• CLIA equivalency requirements may apply per policy

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, inventory control, specimen collection, processing, and disinfection of laboratory equipment and spaces.
• Conducts post-analytical activities including reporting results and providing technical support
• Completes tests and analyses per SOPs
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to regulations
• May precept and train new employees and students
• Provides guidance to technicians and supports education to clinical staff
• Follows safety policies including PPE use
• Participates in performance improvement activities
• Evaluates new techniques and assists with data collection
• Facilitates workflow and education to clinical staff
