Job summary

Oklahoma Arthritis Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to maintain and operate the clinical laboratory, performing a range of tests across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology. The candidate will assist in instrument maintenance, QA procedures, and ensure safety, HIPAA, and OSHA compliance.

The role includes phlebotomy, specimen collection, result reporting, and collaboration with the health care team.

Qualifications

• MLS or MLT certification with ASCP or equivalent.
• 12–18 months of experience in high-complexity testing preferred.
• Eligible to work in a clinical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Perform technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology and other tests.
• Perform phlebotomy tasks.
• Report test results following clinic protocols, alerting physicians and/or nurses immediately about red flag results.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
