Job summary

USA Health is seeking a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and STAT laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols. You will maintain instruments, document results, and participate in quality control and proficiency testing to support patient care.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Medical Technology with ASCP eligibility and experience in clinical laboratory settings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with major course work in Medical Technology from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama. Required
ASCP - American Society of Clinical Pathologist - Registry eligible as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist Upon Hire Required
Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

Performs routine, STAT, moderate and high complexity laboratory tests.
Maintains instruments by performing maintenance procedures and calibration.
Communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families and healthcare team.
Maintains accurate and complete records by analyzing quality control data and documenting results or actions.
Participates in proficiency testing and quality improvement activities.
