Job summary

Live Well Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform analyses from multiple specimens and report results to support quality patient care.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, instrument maintenance, QC, and training new staff in a clinical environment. The role requires a MLS credential and willingness to work night shifts with differential. Excellent benefits offered from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MLS/Medical Technology certification preferred.
• Experience in clinical laboratory settings and competency exams.
• Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and computer proficiency.
• Ability to work night shift with enhanced differential.

• Handle and accession specimens, confirm identification, and process samples.
• Identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and report problems appropriately.
• Maintain instruments, perform QC, troubleshoot, and stock supplies.
• Follow reporting procedures and computer applications.
• Assist in training new employees and engage in ongoing education.
• Ensure compliance with policies in a clinical environment.

Join our team as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, performing and reporting various analyses from multiple specimen sources to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing specimen handling, confirmation of identification, and accessioning procedures.
• Recognizing discrepancies, resolving issues, and reporting problems appropriately.
• Maintaining instruments, troubleshooting, performing quality control, and replenishing supplies.
• Following established reporting and computer application procedures.
• Assisting in training new employees and participating in ongoing educational activities.
• Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and performing in a clinical environment.

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science certification preferred.
• Experience in clinical laboratory settings and ability to complete competency exams.
• Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and proficiency with computer applications.
• Work in a night shift environment with enhanced shift differential.
