Live Well Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and report analyses from multiple specimen sources in a modern laboratory setting. The role emphasizes technical expertise, instrument troubleshooting, and quality assurance to support high-quality patient care.

The candidate will work in a full-time, on-site environment in Bloomsburg, PA, with opportunities for professional development and participation in quality control, proficiency testing, and inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification from ASCP or NAACLS preferred.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report analyses from multiple specimen sources in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.
• Conduct technical testing and act as technical expert at instrument/platform levels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues and make operational decisions when senior staff are absent.

Job description

Join our team as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, responsible for performing and reporting various analyses from multiple specimen sources in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.

Key duties include:

• Conducting technical testing and serving as a technical expert at instrument or platform levels.
• Troubleshooting and resolving instrument issues.
• Making operational decisions in the absence of senior staff.
• Assisting with the evaluation, validation, and implementation of new tests, products, and instrumentation.
• Ensuring quality control, proficiency testing, and maintenance are completed and reviewed.
• Participating in training and committee activities, and assisting with inventory management.
• Interpreting specialized testing and maintaining competency through ongoing education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
