Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and report complex analyses from diverse specimens in a clinical setting. You will act as a technical expert for instruments and platforms, troubleshoot issues, and support validation and implementation of new tests.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, accreditation or MLS certification, and at least four years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological, Chemical, Physical, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program or relevant certification.
  • At least four years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert at instrument and platform levels.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve instrument problems.
  • Assist with evaluation, validation, and implementation of new tests, products, and procedures.
  • Interpret specialized tests and ensure quality control, proficiency testing, and maintenance.
  • Support inventory management and participate in employee training.
  • Contribute to departmental committees and maintain current knowledge through educational activities.
