Job summary

El Paso Community College seeks a dedicated instructor to provide on-campus instruction in Medical Laboratory Science in alignment with the college's philosophy and objectives. In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position.

You will adhere to approved syllabi, develop curriculum, maintain office hours, advise students, participate in committees and governance, and support the college mission through service and leadership. A background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science or Associate's in Medical Laboratory Technology; ASCP certification preferred.
• Transcript copy must be submitted, showing completed coursework and degrees conferred.
• Minimum 3 years of work-related experience excluding teaching.
• Must hold ASCP Generalist certification; AMT certification may be acceptable.
• Experience teaching the discipline and incorporating technology into the classroom.
• Experience teaching at the community college level.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction on campus in accordance with the College's philosophy and objectives.
• Adhere to approved syllabi and inform students of course requirements by week one.
• Develop and revise curriculum and instructional materials; submit syllabi to Division Office.
• Maintain office hours and act as academic advisor; lead student activities as needed.
• Participate on committees and collaborate with faculty to achieve departmental goals.
• Assist in faculty evaluation, orientation, and professional development.
