Job summary

The Community College of Philadelphia seeks a dedicated part-time adjunct faculty member for the Medical Laboratory Technician Program for the 2026–2027 academic year. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, NAACLS-accredited program graduation, a current certification, and a minimum of five years of clinical laboratory experience.

Courses are hybrid, with lectures online and labs conducted in person. Selected candidates should commit at least two days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Graduate of a NAACLS-accredited MLT/MLS program.
• Current certification (ASCP preferred) as Medical Technologist or Scientist.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Phlebotomy, Hematology, Microbiology, and more.
• Assist with securing and maintaining clinical sites.
• Prepare and deliver engaging instruction in various formats.
• Provide timely feedback to students.
• Contribute to curriculum updates and program initiatives.
