Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to perform waived, moderate, and highly complex tests in a hospital lab setting. You will operate instruments, manage QC processes, and assist with phlebotomy and data entry into the LIS.

The role requires completion of an accredited MLT program and ASCP or equivalent certification, with ongoing education to uphold accrediting standards. This is a full-time, on-site position at the Bethlehem facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Successful completion of an accredited MLT program or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform waived to highly complex laboratory tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate and highly complex laboratory tests per protocols.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Conduct phlebotomy duties as assigned.
• Monitor inventory and notify lead technologist when supplies run low.
• Accurately transcribe results into the LIS and document quality data.
• Attend continuing education to meet accrediting standards.
• Demonstrate competency in assigned responsibilities.
