Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for medical laboratory technicians.
• Current registry with ASCP or equivalent.
• Know hospital and laboratory policies and regulatory standards.
• Understand safe use of laboratory equipment.
• Familiar with and abide by policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and report results with documentation.
• Collect, handle, and process specimens when needed.
• Perform tests across hematology, coag, chemistry, serology/immunology, Blood Bank, bacteriology, urinalysis.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment; document activities.
• Complete orientation and maintain competency.
