Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• 1 year experience in MLS NAACLS approved program or hospital lab.
• Florida Technologist License required.
• Preferred: ASCP MT/MLS certification.
• Must pass a color vision test.

Aufgaben

• Receive and label specimens per policy and manage specimen flow.
• Perform moderate to high complexity testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, serology, immunohematology and molecular areas.
• Conduct quality control testing and analyze data to ensure accuracy of results.
• Operate complex laboratory analyzers and document instrument checks and maintenance.
• Review and independently judge normal and abnormal test results.
• Provide clinical instruction and train new staff or students.
• Evaluate new instruments and techniques and participate in quality initiatives.
