Job summary

Labcorp in Spokane, WA is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team. You will perform routine and complex tests, ensure accuracy, and contribute to quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology, with 1 year of clinical lab experience or MLS degree; ASCP/AMT certification preferred. Pay range is $27.77 - $37.00 hourly. Flexible schedule, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• 6 months experience with laboratory information systems.
• 6 months or more experience with LCMSMS, GCMS, GCFID and/or ICPMS testing.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE as required.
