Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in a related scientific discipline with 1+ year clinical laboratory experience, or an associate degree with 2 years clinical lab experience.
• ASCP MT certification or equivalent or ASCP MLT certification or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an organized, methodical laboratory practice.
• Ability to communicate findings accurately to medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex hematology and clinical chemistry procedures.
• Conducts clinical microbiology, parasitology, and urinalysis.
• Performs spinal fluid analysis, body fluids and semen testing.
• Prepares reagents, media, and solutions for tests.
• Participates in quality control programs.
• Performs phlebotomy and prepares test reports.
• Maintains a hygienic and safe work environment.
• Assists in training other technologists and technicians.
