Job summary

CHRISTUS Children's Medical Laboratory seeks a skilled MLT II to perform complex tests across multiple sections including Hematology, Chemistry, and Microbiology. You will handle QC, proficiency testing, and instrument maintenance while ensuring timely, accurate results.

Requires an associate degree or higher in clinical laboratory science, with suitable training or experience in lab procedures and phlebotomy. On-site schedule is full-time; licensure and certifications must be current.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree or higher in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• 60 semester hours including chemistry/biology credits or equivalent, with specified coursemix.
• Laboratory training program approved by ABHES/NAACLS or equivalent, or documented three months of specialty training.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex clinical testing in designated sections (general, Blood Bank, Microbiology).
• Respond to abnormal/critical values and notify medical team per guidelines.
• Maintain quality control and participate in proficiency testing and maintenance of equipment.
