Job summary

Qualifications

• Academic or military training meeting CLIA 42CFR493.1489 requirements.
• Education must include medical laboratory technology courses or equivalent labs.
• Clinical laboratory training from ABHES/NAACLS approved program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perfom complex testing in assigned sections (general, Blood Bank, Microbiology).
• Ensure quality control, proficiency testing and preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Recognize abnormal/critical values and notify medical staff per guidelines.
• Operate LIS/HIS systems to perform, charge and report results.

Education

Associate degree in clinical laboratory science or Medical Laboratory Technology

60 semester hours with clinical/lab science content

ABHES/NAACLS-certified training or equivalent
