Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensure or other certifications: ASCP, NCA, or AMT.
• Educational Requirements: Technologist should have Medical Technology training through an accredited school and successful completion of examination approved by ASCP, NCA, AAB and HEW or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage the section to ensure quality patient care.
• Oversee staff training.
• Perform personnel counseling and monitor performance through reviews.
• Assist in hiring, termination and other personnel tasks.
• Supervise completion of work per policy and time frames with minimal discrepancies.
• Complete reports such as CAP W.L.V., schedules and more.
• Prioritize work and handle problems and complaints.
• Investigate staff concerns and communicate with lab managers.
