Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with accredited MLT training.
• Must complete ASCP, NCA, or AMT certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Correctly completes routine and stat testing within established time frames.
• Performs analysis independently according to established criteria.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation.
• Consults with technologist, section head or pathologist on questionable results with limited discrepancies.
• Inputs data accurately into the computer system.
• Provides ongoing quality improvement suggestions for the laboratory.
• Attends continuing education sessions (80%+).
• Orders and restocks supplies.
