Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a per diem Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests across lab sections. You will ensure result quality and communicate findings to physicians and staff.

The role involves floating between Boston and Needham locations, covering sick and vacation time, with opportunities to participate in continued education and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science required.
• Bachelor's Degree and successful completion of an ASCP/NAACLS accredited Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of moderate and highly complex diagnostic laboratory testing under general supervision.
• May perform specialized procedures in special laboratory sections.
• Evaluate whether results are abnormal/critical and take appropriate action.
• Record results with supporting documentation for clinical interpretation.
• Perform quality control, preventative maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
