Job summary

Baptist Health seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Core Lab at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This full-time role operates 4:00am - 12:30pm and requires expertise in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis, with instrumentation duties on Beckman systems.

Candidates should have 2 years MT experience, an associate degree, and Florida licensure; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Licensing notes apply; relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 2 years Medical Technologist Experience.
• Education: Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: MT/MLT licenses in Florida desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expertise and perform technical lab functions across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis.
• Record keeping per SOPs; LIS and clerical tasks as applicable.
• Supervise MLTs as General Supervisor; serve as Charge Technologist when needed.
• Instruct new employees and students.
