Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Core Lab at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This full-time evening shift runs 12:30pm–9:00pm with rotating weekends and holidays, requiring strong teamwork and accurate processing of specimens.

Qualified candidates have 2 years MT experience, an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and Florida licensure in Chemistry/Hematology. Relocation assistance is offered and the team uses Beckman instruments and LIS in a

Qualifications

• 2 years Medical Technologist Experience.
• Licensed Medical Technologist or Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician is preferred.
• Certification in Medical Technology or MT/MLT preferred may be required by Florida licensure rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, and clerical functions.
• Maintain records of performance per SOPs.
• Supervise MLTs as General Supervisor and serve as Charge Technologist in absences.
• Instruct new employees and students when needed.
