Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for Hackensack, NJ (HUMC hospital-based). Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM with rotational weekends.

Pay range is $32.00–$50.73 per hour; annual bonus potential possible based on performance and factors. The role requires testing of moderate/high complexity, adherence to CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA standards, and strong QC/maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology or related field (or Associates as described).
• ASCP certification preferred; licensure as required by state.
• Laboratory experience in clinical testing and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independence and accuracy.
• Support QC, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain instrument function.
• Enter test results into LIS and ensure proper reporting.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety requirements.
• Assist with training of other staff and participate in regulatory inspections.
