Job summary

Bronson Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Scientist for Education & Safety (PT 64hrs/pp), first shift. You will perform diagnostic testing, ensure quality controls, and support training within the Bronson network.

Candidates must meet NAACLS/MLT/MLS credential requirements and achieve certification within one year. This role may require on-call hours and adherence to Bronson standards.

Qualifications

• Be eligible for certification within one year of hire; must pursue ASCP/AMT or equivalent MLS credentials.
• Foreign-educated candidates require a detailed US equivalency evaluation; visa sponsorship is not available.
• All individuals must have completed certification or be registry eligible and obtain certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic/analytic testing on human specimens to provide reliable data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate and maintain instruments, perform quality control, and document results per policy.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pre-, intra-, and post-analytical steps; manage inventory and workflow.
• Train and orient new staff and students; participate in Laboratory Quality Program activities.

Education

NAACLS accredited Medical Technology / Medical Laboratory Science / Clinical Lab Science program

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology / MLS / MT with internship

Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Chemistry with internship and MLS internship

Bachelor’s Degree with ASCP/AMT eligibility or equivalent MLS credential
