Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Brush, CO seeks a Medical Lab Scientist for a fulltime daytime role (36 hours/week). The position focuses on high-level testing, regulatory compliance, and department leadership in the absence of on-site leadership.

Responsibilities include accurate testing, QC monitoring, inventory and financial data support, staff training, and cross-functional project participation. Certification and phlebotomy competency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or a chemical/biological science with MLS/certification.
• Certification (MLS or categorical) or completion of accredited MLS program.
• Foreign educated candidates require credential evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing accurately and timely per policies and performance standards.
• Recognize abnormal results and ensure result validity with QC oversight.
• Monitor inventory and contribute to financial data and cost improvements.
• Train department staff, participate in committees, and support competency assessments.
• Provide educational information to internal and external customers and support quality initiatives.
• May collect, receive, and process specimens with correct patient and specimen ID.
