Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona, in partnership with Sonora Quest Laboratories, seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist to support department testing, clinical relevance and complex problem solving. You will assist with specimen collection, receipt and processing, and ensure compliance with CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP and OSHA.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field, MLS or categorical certification, or a completion certificate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology, OR Bachelor’s in chemical/biological science.
• Certification (MLS or categorical) or completion certificate from an accredited MLS program.
• For certain specialties, a bachelor’s with 1 year of experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with department testing and regulatory compliance (CLIA, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA).
• May be responsible for collection, receipt, and processing of specimens.
• Perform functions per policies, procedures and professional standards.
