Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to support routine blood tests, specimen preparation, and instrument maintenance across our Low Country Cancer Care sites. Daily tasks include specimen collection, quality control, and operating hematology and point-of-care analyzers.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-site setting are essential. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with remote work not required.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a lab setting required.
• National lab certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze body fluids; perform routine lab tests with quality control.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; troubleshoot instrument issues.
• Comply with safety guidelines and regulatory requirements for patient care and privacy.
• Maintain logs and documentation; communicate results and issues to team and consultants.
• Support multi-site operations and adapt to varying site requirements.
