Job summary

South-Texas-Radiology-Group, P.a. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist patients, insurers and agents via incoming calls about patient accounts.

You will handle calls, set up payment plans, process payments, and maintain accuracy in CPT/ICD10 codes as needed. The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a medical office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months general office experience with medical insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to read and understand explanation of benefits (EOBs).
• Proficient typing speed (≥30 wpm) and 10-key by touch.

Responsibilities

• Handles incoming patient and insurance calls and assists accordingly providing excellent customer service.
• Sets up payment plans and takes credit card/ACH payments.
• Works various reports and other tasks including returned mail, bad addresses, and payment plan removals.
• Meets departmental quality and production standards.
• Performs other duties as required.
