University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a Student Health Insurance representative to assist students and staff with insurance information, enrollment periods, waivers, and benefits explanations. The role requires independent work, strong communication via phone, email, and in person, and the ability to manage confidential records during enrollment periods.
The position involves outreach to educate new students at orientation, supporting daily operations, processing enrollment activities,
Acts as a representative of the Student Insurance Office, and liaison between students and the plan. Participates in campus events where Student Insurance presence is requested. Communicates information about Student Insurance programs and services as needed. Performs basic customer services duties including but not limited to phone calls, emails and in-person consultations. Escalates complex issues to the appropriate department personnel.

This is a 100% full-time Civil Service CUSTOM.CLASSIFICATION TITLE position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 10/26/2026. The staring wage for this position is $21.401 hourly. The job schedule is 8 - 4:30pm, M-F.
