Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga is seeking an experienced Medical ICU RN to join our team. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and supports the hospital’s mission to deliver high-quality care.

In this role you will assess patient needs, administer medications, monitor vitals, educate patients and families, and participate in performance improvement initiatives within a collaborative, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse from accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, changes dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using documentation systems.
• Educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
• Identify nursing problems and plan individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
