Job summary

Select Medical in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Patient Service Specialist at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, explain what to expect, and help coordinate the visit across front desk and business tasks.

This SPLIT full-time role covers Myrtle Beach (4 days) and Conway (1 day) with shifts 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, and compensation starting at $18/hour, pending experience. We offer mentorship, PTO, benefits, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience.
• Insurance Verification Experience.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience (preferred).
• Health Care Experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visits and next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communications with attorneys, insurers, translation services, market leaders and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

Position

Patient Service Specialist

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC (4 days per week) & Conway, SC (1 day per week)

Type of Employment: Fulltime (SPLIT position)

Schedule: Weekday (7am to 4pm OR 8am to 5pm)

Compensation: Starting at$18/hour (Pending experience)
