Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) is seeking a full-time receptionist for our in-clinic Hatchery Hill location in Fitchburg. You will greet patients, check them in for lab and radiology appointments, and support front-desk operations in a busy Lab and Radiology Department.

This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork, with duties including scheduling, answering phones, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure smooth appointment flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months of customer service experience; medical reception preferred.
• Pass competency and telephone skills tests within 3–6 months.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA.
• Familiarity with email and online scheduling systems.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients for lab, radiology, ultrasound, and X-ray appointments.
• Enter and release lab, radiology, and ultrasound orders in the system.
• Rotate between front desk duties as needed.
• Call center support (Lab/Radiology phone room).
• Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries by phone.
• Maintain clear communication with patients and staff for efficient flow.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and clinic policies.
