Job summary

Goodlettsville Pediatrics, a division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking a Check-in Clerk for an on-site role in Goodlettsville, TN. You will handle patient check-ins, verify information, collect copays, and route messages to staff to keep the clinic flow smooth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy outpatient clinic.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy laws and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to collect copays and balances due in person.
• Excellent communication and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets and checks in patients, verifies information, and collects copays.
• Assists patients with ambulatory needs and directs requests to staff.
• Maintains computerized scheduling and follows office policies.
• Files charts and coordinates lab work as requested.
• Answers calls, screens messages, and provides information.
• Assists with charge entry and coding as needed.
• Processes registrations and uses EMR systems.
