Job summary

Huntingtonretirement in Torrance, CA seeks a Receptionist to welcome visitors, conduct COVID-19 screening, and answer questions about the facility or services. You will greet and sign in patients, manage inquiries, and coordinate with staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to obtain a Live Scan background check, and authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Vaccinated against Covid-19 including Booster shots and present proof.
• Flexible schedule & Full-Time availability.
• Must clear Live Scan background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Bilingual: Spanish, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medical questionnaires directly to Clinic Staff, Patients as well as any visitors entering job sites
• Administer and interpret the temperature of an individual utilizing forehead, tympanic and/or oral thermometers according to manufacturer’s instructions and CDC guidance for personal protection
• Reporting cases of positive and negative responses according to established protocols
• Communicate findings directly to the Leads as required
• Document findings and results of the Medical Screening
• Translates for provider and office staff as requested
• Make changes in the appointment type as needed basis depending on findings and results while having polite, but clear communication with the patients about the changes
• Ensure the registration and lobby areas are appropriately maintained
• Greet and Sign In patients, providing exceptional patient experience
• Answer and screen telephone call, takes messages and provides information
• Attend meetings as required
• Notify the Office Manager of possible problems:
• Patient Relations
• Other Employees, etc
• Submit appropriate information per procedure
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to Office Manager
• Stays in compliance with all HIPAA regulations
• Ability to find solutions when barriers are identified
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize when needed
• Ability to independently seek out resources and work collaboratively
• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Experience and work ethics that supports working within a high functioning, team-oriented environment
